Chronicles of a 21st century naturalist.

About

To whom it may concern,

Thank you for checking out my blog! I hope that you find my passions, musings, and experiences interesting. Through my lived experiences I hope to inspire people to develop their own personal connections with nature as well as foster a sense of reverence for life. Every day is a new adventure, and there is so much to be explored.

I grew up in rural Wisconsin, where I spent a lot time outside. With a voracious curiosity and astute sense of observation, engaging with the flora and fauna brought me an up welling of fulfillment. It is this personal connection with the outdoors that manifests and sustains my happiness. While pursuing a bachelor’s degree at University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire I learned that it was possible to make a career out of nature by researching it. I am now studying evolutionary ecology at the University of Otago for my PhD.

The purpose of this blog is to share my life journey. If you appreciate nature, science, adventure, or photography, and maybe a little poetry, then this is a good place for you. Though my narrative may not be world changing, I seek to help others appreciate nature as it has brought me so much joy, and I think there is a general lack of this.

Below are my contact details. Feel free to comment or message me with any questions or comments you have. Looking forward to seeing you out on the trails.

Best regards,
